China Photo Update

In November 2010 I headed out to interior China with Anthony Yap, Ben Brown, Pat Camblin, Rush Sturges, Casper Van Kalmthout and Ben Marr. We spent 3 weeks paddling the amazing Salween River which boarders Tibet and Myanmar.

The full story can be found in the latest addition of Kayak Session, Footage from the trip can be found on River Roots latest film titled Frontier as well as in a Short film from myself which will be available for viewing in a few weeks. Titled “The Calling”

The Salween is in the process of having 13 dams constructed on the section of whitewater we were paddling, more information can be found at www.salweenwatch.org

Explorers Club Guest speaker thanks to Australian Geographic

I got a call last week from Chris Bray a very well accomplished adventurer and photographer. He is chair of the Australian and NZ chapter of the world renown Explorers club. He is also a trustee of the Australian Geographic society. Chris asked me if I would be interested to heading to Sydney to be the guest speaker at the annual explorers club dinner party/ meeting. I was honoured to be asked and had no idea of the kind of inspirational adventurer's I would be addressing. Solo Kimberley Huge Success

Hey Guys! So I completed the first solo Descent in 5 nights. It was the quickest descent as well! No issue's or drama's just big long days on the water and some amazing rapids Quick few photos to get an idea of the journey I undertook. It was an amazing trip that I will never forget. Day Six and Fitzroy Crossing

Well he's off the river. From the look of the map he had another long day in the kayak and finished up at Fitzroy Crossing in the mid afternoon. Only limited contact from him after that, waiting for his lift back to Broome - around a six hour drive. Although I did hear he was heading to the pub for a beer. Fair enough.
